In collaboration with the governments, United Nations, and non-governmental organization, the diamond industry has a partnership to prevent the trading of illegal diamonds. Diamond Wholesale Exchange maintains a zero-tolerance policy towards conflict diamonds and adheres strongly to the Kimberly Process and the Patriot Act, a measure taken by the industry to track diamonds from mine to market and rejecting diamonds that are traded by governments in order to fund conflicts.
We at Diamond Wholesale Exchange, only offer CONFLICT FREE DIAMONDS.
Only offering ethically sourced diamonds is something we strongly pride ourselves in. We are proud of our conflict free policy and enforce it. If we ever discovered that we were handling conflict diamonds, we would sever the relationship with that particular diamond manufacturer.
Kimberley Process and the Patriot Act The Kimberly Process is an international process developed in order to track and certify diamonds. In April of 2003, the United States passed a law adopting the Kimberly Process. Additionally, the law requires that all United States diamond dealers to buy diamonds from manufacture’s who source their diamonds from legitimate channels, also known as part of the Patriot Act. Upon a diamond entering the United States ports, US Customs Service actively enforces the Kimberly Process.
